The Small Business Administration office at 6501 Sylvan Rd. is hiring full-time employees to help provide assistance for a rapid rise in demand for disaster relief loans by small businesses struggling amid the coronavirus shut down, the Sacramento Business Journal reported Thursday. City says it won’t enforce temporary sign ban
The City of Citrus Heights is encouraging businesses that provide essential services to use A-frame signs and other temporary signage to let customers know they are open, announcing last week that an ordinance banning most temporary signage won’t be enforced during the current state of emergency. Obituary: Robert Eugene Slocum (1937-2020)
Citrus Heights resident Robert (Bob) Slocum passed away on March 16 at the age of 82, after a five-year battle with cancer. According to an obituary published in The Sacramento Bee, Slocum served 20 years in the Air Force and later volunteered as a campus monitor at Del Campo High School.
His obituary said he “could be seen every morning sporting one of his many baseball hats and flannel shirts, visiting his local Starbucks and chatting with his neighbors.” He is survived by his wife, Mary, and three daughters. A memorial service will be held at Price Funeral Chapel at a later date. (See full obituary)
