Citrus Heights PD to host Coffee with a Cop event
The Citrus Heights Police Department is inviting residents to attend an upcoming “Coffee with a Cop” event on March 4 to meet officers and have questions answered. The event will be held on Tuesday, from 9-11 a.m. at the Starbucks location on Sylvan Corners. (See event listing)

CHPD cleans up homeless camp, make arrests
Citrus Heights police on Friday spent several hours clearing up a homeless camp on a vacant parcel outside Walmart, the department said in a social media posting. Five adults at the site were also arrested for “various criminal violations, particularly possession of illegal narcotics,” and three others were offered assistance. (See Facebook post)

Accused Junior Mavericks coach could have multiple sexual assault victims
ABC 10 reported last week that friends of the daughter of a former Junior Mavericks coach are concerned justice won’t be served, after she was hit and killed by a truck last month. Coach Glenn Czekaj is accused of rape and sexual abuse of his daughter, but new information revealed by a friend after her death indicates there may have been more alleged victims.
