Residents invited to 2020 potluck at Citrus Heights Community Center

Sentinel staff report–
The Residents’ Empowerment Association of Citrus Heights (REACH) is inviting the public to its 7th annual community workshop and potluck at the Citrus Heights Community Center on March 2.

The evening is scheduled to kick off with a meet-and-greet at 6 p.m., followed by a potluck dinner and presentation. All community members are invited to the potluck and are asked to each bring a dish to share.

REACH representative Anna Portillo said this year’s theme is “citizens empowerment” and will feature City Manager Christopher Boyd as the guest speaker. She said the potluck was pioneered to “bring all volunteers from different walks of life and share a moment of gratification for supporting our community/communities.”

REACH, which sponsors the annual potluck, is a nonprofit umbrella organization that helps the city’s 10 neighborhood associations collaborate together throughout the year. An RSVP for this year’s potluck is requested to ensure seating.

For more information, or to RSVP, those interested are asked to contact Anna Portillo at (916) 459-7890, or by email at annaportillo@surewest.net.
