Sentinel staff report–
Boston’s Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar is scheduled to open later this month at the former Logan’s Roadhouse restaurant on Sunrise Boulevard.
On Wednesday, Boston’s Pizza spokesman Cody Schiever confirmed an opening date of Monday, Jan. 27, but a manager The Sentinel spoke with on site the same day didn’t seem as sure, saying only he was “hoping to be open for business” on the 27th.
Construction crews could be seen completing outer facade projects at the site on Wednesday, and a large “coming soon” banner was displayed in the front. Interior work appeared nearly complete, and big screen televisions could be seen through the windows of the restaurant.
The new Boston’s Pizza, located at 5511 Sunrise Blvd., will be the restaurant chain’s first location in Northern California and second in the state. The Canadian-based restaurant chain has over 400 locations in the United States and Mexico.
Along with 17 different pizzas, menu items listed online include a “pizza flight” starter, with options to choose three mini pizzas out of five different combinations, along with Thai shrimp bites, various burgers, flatbreads, wings and a new quinoa bowl.
A new gluten-free, dairy-free “CauliPower Crust” is also available for pizzas. Boston’s “Beyond Burger” is also offered for those looking for a plant-based meat alternative.
