Latest police logs include reports of a woman crashing into a parked car at a local bar, two grand theft incidents, and an assault reported near Greenback Lane and Birdcage Street.
The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins for Oct. 19, 2019. Additional logs are linked below.
Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019: Total of 58 incidents reported. Incident report categories of note: 12 calls regarding suspicious activities, 21 disturbance-related, 5 homeless-related, 6 petty thefts, 2 grand thefts, no burglaries, 5 assault reports, 1 hit-and-run collision.
12:37 a.m., Collision Non-injury, 7440 Club on Auburn Blvd. Police were advised that a woman had just crashed into a parked car at the 7440 Club on Auburn Boulevard.
1:38 a.m., Assault, Chipotle Mexican Grill on Sunrise Blvd. A caller told police a male had just walked up and said he had been robbed across the street.
2:01 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Sayonara Dr. A female caller said she believed her mom’s boyfriend’s nephew had stolen prescription pills from her room. Police were advised that the nephew was currently next door in the laundry room.
10:57 a.m., Vandalism, Cryptic Rose Metaphysical Boutique on Auburn Blvd. A woman said she had left her vehicle parked overnight in a shopping plaza on Auburn Boulevard and returned in the morning to find the window had been smashed.
11:20 a.m., Grand Theft, Declaration Cr. Police were advised that a vintage bicycle valued at over $950 was missing from a shed after a family member had gone in the shed the prior day.
2:19 p.m., Hit and Run Non-Injury, Donut King on Greenback Lane. Police were called by a bicyclist who said he had been hit by a vehicle near Donut King on Greenback Lane. The incident was listed as a non-injury hit-and-run.
8:08 p.m., Grand Theft, Quick Quack Car Wash on Greenback Ln. Police were advised that a cash drawer from a register at Quick Quack Car Wash had reportedly been stolen within the last 30 minutes.
8:45 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Rollerland on Sunrise Vista Dr. A suspicious person was observed “casing the bike rack” in front of Rollerland.
9:56 p.m., Suspicious Vehicle, Woodbriar Way. A resident called police after a suspicious vehicle rolled up and parked on her lawn. The vehicle had been there for about 20 minutes.
11:08 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Prince/Mariposa. Police were advised that an individual had been seen walking westbound on Prince Street towards Dudley Street about an hour ago. The caller told police it was “unusual for people to be walking in [the] area.”
11:12 p.m., Assault, Greenback/Birdcage. A group of about 10 people were reportedly attacking another person near Greenback Lane and Birdcage Street around 11 p.m.
