Texas Roadhouse at 6309 Sunrise Blvd. is hosting a benefit lunch for Special Olympics on Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Local law enforcement officers from Citrus Heights will be serving lunch and will be asking restaurant patrons to leave a donation at their table.

“One hundred percent of our luncheon donations will go to help Special Olympics,” said Joseph Sevier, managing partner of Texas Roadhouse. “We’re thankful to all in our greater Citrus Heights community who generously give to support this important cause.”

Lunch includes pulled pork sandwiches, steak fries, fresh baked bread with honey cinnamon butter and a choice of non-alcoholic beverage.

Call 916-726-7623 for reservations or more information. Sevier said reservations are encouraged, but not required.

Texas Roadhouse is known for regularly hosting various fundraisers, including one in June to benefit the memorial fund for Tara O’Sullivan, a Sacramento police officer who was killed earlier this year.
