According to a press release, there will be a raffle, silent auction, vendor shopping, and a chance to tour the Veterans Affairs Mobile Resource Center. All funds raised from the event will help support the Veterans Community Center in its mission to provide “a free and safe place for all veterans in Northern California.”
General admission tickets are $35, and VIP tickets are $50. Event planner Michelle Grant said as of Tuesday, only 30 tickets remained. She said tickets can be purchased through Saturday, Aug. 10, by emailing VCCEvents95610@gmail.com.
The Veterans Community Center is headed up by Jim and Jeanne Rounsavell. The Center is located in the old 1862 Sylvan School house at 6921 Sylvan Road and is designed to provide a place for veterans to congregate, access services, have a cup of coffee, and enjoy various events and activities.
