Citrus Heights police announce more bait arrests
The Citrus Heights Police Department announced two more bait arrests on its Facebook page last week. One suspect was a resident of Citrus Heights with prior arrests for grand theft, vehicle theft and possession of stolen property, while the other had a felony arrest warrant for grand theft out of Placer County. Polish sausages sold at Citrus Heights Costco store recalled
The Sacramento Bee reported Friday that 48,681 pounds of Teton Waters Ranch cooked uncured Polish sausages have been recalled, some of which were sold at the Citrus Heights Costco store. The recall is due potential contamination of the products from rubber. (See story)
Suspect sought in hit-and-run involving Citrus Heights mom, baby
KCRA 3 reported Thursday that police in Roseville released footage of a suspect in a hit-and-run collision involving a pickup truck that hit a Citrus Heights woman’s vehicle. Neither the woman nor her 11-month-old baby were injured. (See story)
Obituary: Edward Leroy Zimmerman, Jr. (1930-2019)
Edward “Ed” Zimmerman passed away at age 89 at his home in Citrus Heights, according to an obituary published in his hometown paper, the Dodge City Daily Globe. He served as a police officer in Dodge City, Kansas, and moved to California after remarrying in 1959. He later worked at Aerojet and the school district. Zimmerman is survived by his four children, as well as stepchildren and numerous grand children and great-grandchildren.
