By Thomas J. Sullivan– Tuesday Morning will be relocating from its current location on Sunrise Boulevard to Greenback Lane, near City Hall.
The upscale, deep-discount retailer specializing in designer and name-brand closeout merchandise is planning to open at 7255 Greenback Lane, in the same shopping center as Sam’s Club.
Deacon Construction, which has offices in Citrus Heights and Sacramento is the general contractor for the project. Paul Cunha, vice president of Deacon, told The Sentinel that Tuesday Morning is planning to open by November, and possibly as soon as late-September.
Cunha said the project is on schedule so far. Construction plans were recently sent out for corrections to the project manager at Tuesday Morning’s corporate office, according to Greg Anderson, chief building official for the City of Citrus Heights. An application was filed with the city on June 21.
The Dallas, Texas-based retailer has nearly 800 stores across the country, specializing in closeouts of medium-to-high-end name brand gifts, soft home, home furnishings, housewares, gourmet food, luggage, toys and seasonal items.
A spokesperson for Tuesday Morning, Inc. was unavailable for comment for this story.
