CHPD announce latest bait arrest
Citrus Heights police announced their latest bait arrest in a Facebook post on Wednesday, accompanied by hashtags reading “Don’t Steal” and “not on our watch.” Police said the theft occurred around 3:40 a.m. on May 8, near Auburn and Rollingwood boulevards. (See Facebook post)
Obituary: Geraldine Josephine Matista (1926-2019)
Geraldine (Gerry) Matista, who served as the Holy Family Catholic School librarian for more than 25 years, passed away in Citrus Heights at age 92 on May 1, 2019. She had over 30 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed square dancing, bowling, reading and genealogy research, her obituary said. A funeral service for her will be held on May 17 at 8 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. (See obituary)
Obituary: Charles Richard George (1928-2019)
Services will be held at Sylvan Cemetery on May 13 at 10 a.m. for Charles Richard George. The retired chemical engineer with Aerojet General moved to Citrus Heights in 1958 with his family and passed away on May 1, 2019. He and his wife, Patricia, had many friends and loved to entertain, his obituary said. (See obituary)
