CBS 13 reported on Wednesday that a Citrus Heights couple were scammed out of $32,000 in a deal they thought was going through eBay Motors. The couple were trying to purchase an RV to travel the country. (See video)

Median rent prices dropped slightly in Citrus Heights
A new report issued this month from ApartmentList.com shows median rental prices dropped by one-tenth of a percent in February, compared to the prior month. Median rents for a one-bedroom are $1,110, and $1,410 for a two-bedroom. (See report)

Five cited in Citrus Heights during underage drinking operation
Twenty-two people — including five in Citrus Heights — were cited last weekend for purchasing alcohol for those under the legal drinking age, The Sacramento Bee reported on Monday. The citations were part of a statewide crackdown by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, where supervised minors would stand outside stores and ask shoppers to buy them alcohol. New arrest history surfaces for Golden State Killer suspect
Citrus Heights resident and Golden State Killer suspect was arrested and released 22 years ago in an unrelated sting operation, The Sacramento Bee reported Saturday. However, DNA samples were not routinely taken during bookings at the time and a sheriff’s spokesman said authorities “had no way of knowing that one of the nation’s most sought-after criminal suspects was in their grasp.” (See SacBee story)

Stabbing victim heads to Citrus Heights bar for help
Citrus Heights police are investigating a stabbing that occurred shortly after midnight on Wednesday, Fox 40 reported. Police said the stabbing occurred across the street from the 7440 Club on Auburn Boulevard, with the 34-year-old male victim entering the club for help following the incident. (See Fox 40 report)

Citrus Heights K9 featured in ABC 10 spot
The Citrus Heights Police Department’s K9 “Farley” was featured in a March 15 news report on ABC 10, showing off his drug-sniffing abilities. So far he’s discovered 47 pounds of marijuana, and a number of other drugs. See video below:
