Residents invited to 2019 potluck at Citrus Heights Community Center

Sentinel staff report–
The Residents’ Empowerment Association of Citrus Heights (REACH) is inviting the public to its 6th annual community workshop and potluck at the Citrus Heights Community Center on March 4.

The evening is scheduled to kick off with a meet-and-greet at 6 p.m., followed by a potluck dinner and presentation on community engagement by guest speaker Lorianne Ulm, who is the Community Event Manager for the City of Rancho Cordova.

“Everyone is invited, the only thing that you need to do is bring a dish,” said Anna Portillo, who serves on the REACH governing board. She said raffle tickets will also be available for sale during the event.

“We all have ideas and we all have something to give to the community,” said Portillo, encouraging residents to consider coming to the potluck. “With our involvement and action we can make this city better, for the betterment of our community.”

REACH, which sponsors the annual potluck, is a nonprofit umbrella organization that helps the city’s 10 neighborhood associations collaborate together throughout the year.
