The Sunrise MarketPlace will wind up its free “Magical Moments” holiday-themed events series in Citrus Heights with a pair of free ballet performances of the Nutcracker, hosted inside Sunrise Mall on Dec. 20th.
According to a news release, Sac Civic Ballet will offer two ballet performances during the Thursday event, one at 5:15 p.m. and a repeat performance at 6:10 p.m. Both performances will be held at Sunrise Mall in the Macy’s Court.
Organizers say the event will also include Nutcracker character appearances, a background photo op, and a “meet & greet” with the ballet dancers. A sign language interpreter will also be available during the entire event, and Mix 96 Sacramento will also be on scene.
As at prior Magical Moments events, the Sunrise MarketPlace will also offer a $250 prize giveaway during the event. Visitors will also have a chance to win tickets to see a full performance of the Nutcracker Ballet, and a storytime reading of the Nutcracker will be held between shows.
The Magical Moments event series began in 2017 and are presented annually by the Sunrise MarketPlace, a business improvement district made up of more than 400 businesses located along Sunrise Boulevard between Arcadia Drive and Madison Avenue, and along Greenback Lane between Birdcage Street and Fair Oaks Boulevard. Events held earlier this year included a Holiday Laser Light Show in the Lowe’s parking lot, a “Victorian Holiday” event in the Marketplace at Birdcage and a “Winterfest” event at Sunrise Village.
