LETTER: This election affirmed my faith in my fellow citizens

Letter submitted by Gene Croyle, of Citrus Heights–
The current election process has affirmed my faith in my fellow citizens. As opposed to “making America great” as in the red-lining, WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Protestants) dominated and the religious right era I grew up in, we are becoming the melting pot America was supposed to be.

This time, however, we are really “melting” and attempting to become a nation of Americans and not the tribal groups that have separated us since a certain individual began tweeting ignorant rants on daily basis. A great America is inclusive. All ideas and thoughts have equal merit, however, so do the people that have them.
