Keeping our neighborhoods and schools safe from crime, boosting efforts to deal with our growing homeless problem, keeping our city’s finances sound to protect taxpayers and increasing efforts to deal with the rapidly changing business or local retailing are my most important objectives as your City Councilmember

I have lived in Citrus Heights nearly 20 years. I am a retired California Law Enforcement officer having served in both the Department of Justice and the Department of Corrections as a Special Agent in Charge. My wife Ruth and I have been married for 48 years, have two children and four grandchildren.

I was appointed to the Citrus Heights City Council last year to fill the position left vacant by the untimely death of Councilman Mel Turner. I have the endorsements of Connie Turner, Citrus Heights Councilmember Jeff Slowey, Planning Commissioners Leah Cox, Russ Blair, and Jack Duncan, Supervisor Sue Frost, Sheriff Scott Jones and former supervisor Roberta MacGlashin. I promise to keep our city finances solvent by living within our means, rejecting new taxes, continue my efforts to build stronger schools and neighborhoods, and empower families to be heard and participate in city government.

According to the Elections Code, a 10-calendar day public review period of candidate statements extends through Aug. 20, during which period “any person may seek a Writ of Mandate or injunction requiring any or all of the material in the candidate statement to be amended or deleted.”
