The skate park at Rusch Park will again be home to the 5th annual Freestyle Scooter Competition this Saturday.
The July 28 event will kick off at 8:45 a.m., and will offer beginner, amateur and pro divisions. Check-in time for the competition is 7:45 a.m., with an entry fee of $20 if paid before the event and $25 if paid on the day of the event.
The annual competition is hosted by the Sunrise Recreation and Park District, along with the Citrus Heights Police Activities League and Surf & Skate.
An event posting on the park district’s website invites riders to “come out and put on your best run in one minute to impress the judges.”
