Sentinel staff report–
A 29-year-old man was arrested Thursday after authorities said he smashed in the front lobby door of the Citrus Heights Police Department on Fountain Square Drive. Police said the suspect, identified as Antonio Natali of Sacramento, was quickly apprehended and arrested for vandalism and violation of probation, as well as possession of tear gas and methamphetamine.
In a post about the incident on social media, police said Natali “is on 6 dockets of probation for various offenses including theft, DUI, trespassing, and assault.”
Police posted a photo of Natali along with a photo of the smashed front lobby door on Facebook Thursday afternoon, which quickly drew comments, reactions and shares from community members.
“Hopefully he shattered the revolving door which is the California Judicial system,” read one comment.
Another replied, “Those that are blaming judicial system here don’t realize the voters took away [law enforcement] and the courts authority to prosecute for lesser crimes. Get out and vote and please read the initiatives fully! If 47 and 57 hadn’t gone through our criminals wouldn’t just be getting slaps on the wrists?”
