Monday, June 4th, 2018: Total of 68 reports.
Incident categories of note: 12 suspicious activity calls, 14 disturbance-related, 6 assault reports, 5 reckless driving reports, and 8 petty thefts.
1:07 a.m., Suspicious Circumstance on Sunrise Blvd. A thief had reportedly stolen a tractor from an empty lot and had been seen driving it down the street on Sunrise Boulevard around 1 a.m. A fence around the lot appeared to have been tampered with. Disposition listed: assisted.
4:28 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances on Dunmore Ave. An elderly woman called to report that several men could be heard yelling outside around 4:30 a.m., with one overheard saying, “do you want to pull off the job.” The incident was reported near Brooktree Park. Disposition listed: unable to locate.
6:07 a.m., Disturbance Loitering at Spring Creek Apartments on Greenback Ln. A handful of individuals were reported to be engaging in some dumpster diving outside an apartment complex, while a fellow female was bathing in a faucet attached to a nearby wall. Disposition listed: “Field I.D.”
8:38 a.m. Suspicious Circumstances on Auburn Blvd. A male caller said his daughter kept “coming to his house to harass him.” He also said he was missing a spare key. Disposition listed: advised.
2:06 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance at Auburn/Greenback. A caller reported seeing a passenger in a minivan point a paintball gun out of a window while driving on Greenback Lane. The vehicle was described as a grey, newer model minivan with yellow tape over a brake light and an unknown license plate number. Disposition listed: advised.
2:16 p.m., Assault at Old Auburn/Sylvan. The driver of a white Acura sedan reportedly tried to run someone over and then drove off going northbound on Sylvan Road. Disposition listed: report taken.
5:45 p.m. Assault on Lee Drive. Police were advised that a mentally ill female had started a fire in the backyard of a residence on Lee Drive, near Twin Oaks and Mariposa avenues. After the fire was put out, she then assaulted one of her siblings, who then called police. She was currently “in a tent” in the backyard at the time police were notified. Disposition listed: report taken.
6:53 p.m. Petty Theft at Walgreens at Greenback/Sunrise. A bearded Pepsi-stealing transient was reported to have been bothering customers at Walgreens and had stolen more than a few other items from the store. He was sitting in the parking lot at the time police were contacted. Disposition listed: unable to locate.
10:32 p.m. Disturbance at the Sunrise Commons Apartments on Sunrise Blvd. Police were advised of an ongoing issue at an apartment complex involving a loud stereo with karaoke. The caller said the issue had been going on for the past four days and requested to remain anonymous.
