Sentinel staff report–
Citrus Heights police on Tuesday released several images of a man suspected of robbing a local Wells Fargo branch last week. Authorities also believe the suspect has been involved in other bank robberies in the region.
In a news release on Tuesday, police said officers had responded to a report of a robbery at the Wells Fargo branch located inside the Raley’s Supermarket at 7847 Lichen Dr., on May 22 around 3:45 p.m. The man allegedly presented a demand note and then fled on foot after receiving “an undisclosed amount of cash.”
Police said an extensive area search for the suspect was conducted, but he was not located.
The suspect is described as a 25 to 30-year-old white male adult, with a thin build and approximately 6-feet-2-inches in height. Although his face is only partially visible in the photos released, police said he appeared to have dark hair and a goatee and trimmed mustache. He was last seen wearing a black short-sleeved shirt with white pin stripes, and a black baseball-style hat and dark sunglasses.
Police said no weapons were observed on the suspect and no weapons were threatened during the robbery.
