Latest news briefs include the local Toys ‘R’ Us store increasing sale prices to as much as 50% off, a Citrus Heights Walgreens store selling for $11 million, updates on the East Area Rapist suspect, and reports of a man exposing himself to a local resident.

Citrus Heights Toys ‘R’ Us increases discounts amid impending store closure
Sales have increased to as high as half-off at the local Toys ‘R’ Us store at 7800 Greenback Ln. Initial going-out-of-business sales were posted at “up to 30% off,” but have now increased to up to 40% off, as the store prepares to close. As of Saturday, the store was also offering an additional 10% discount on all purchases at the register, bringing discounts up to 50%. A store employee said the extra 10% off was slated to continue through May 7.

Additional sales observed inside the store included a battery-powered Star Wars Landspeeder on wheels for $150, off an MSRP of $450. Food items remain at just 5% off, Lego toys are priced at 10% off, and most other items range between 20-40% off.

Police seek man who allegedly exposed himself in Citrus Heights, Orangevale
Citrus Heights police are investigating a report that a man exposed himself to a female victim who was walking down Mariposa Avenue on Monday night, according to a news report from ABC 10. The man was reportedly driving a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck and is described as being in his 30s, with a beard and “big eyes.”

The incident is possibly connected to another report of indecent exposure in Orangevale the prior day, where a woman said a man in a white Tundra had exposed himself to her. Police are still working to identify a suspect, but advise residents to get a much of the license plate number as possible, if such an incident occurs. (See video)
