Sentinel staff report–
A new video with aerial footage shows the latest progress on Dignity Health’s 68,000-square-foot medical office building at the corner of Greenback Lane and Fountain Square Drive.
Dignity Health Spokeswoman Brooke Burgess said the video shows completed concrete, curb and gutter and asphalt paving, along with new landscaping in progress. The building is also now water tight and elevators have been installed, which can be seen in an interior shot of the building in the minute-long footage.
“As a tribute to the nursery and garden that once stood there, we saved a beautiful rose bush from the original site and will replant it on the grounds,” said Burgess. The garden will provide a place for “reflective pauses and healing,” she said, noting that a shot in the video shows a team looking at where the garden could be placed on the grounds.
A row of newly planted redwood trees are also shown, which were placed for screening along the west side of the property as a condition listed in a lawsuit settlement agreement in 2016. An extended left turn lane on Greenback Lane can also be seen in one of the aerial shots, another condition listed in the settlement agreement.

Burgess said a new sidewalk along Greenback Lane is up next on schedule to be completed, along with finishing the entry canopy for the building — which currently has only a metal structure in place. The project is on schedule for completion in Spring 2019.
