Citrus Heights Wells Fargo bank robbed again
The Wells Fargo branch at 6047 Sunrise Blvd. was reportedly robbed Saturday afternoon around 4:20 p.m., according to a Fox40 news report. The same location was previously robbed in October, 2014, also on a Saturday.
The suspect is described as an adult White or Hispanic male with dark hair and a light beard, who entered the branch and allegedly demanded money from a teller. The man was wearing a grayish or blueish baseball cap and a multicolored flannel shirt. As of Saturday night, police had not issued a news release about the incident or suspect, but Fox40 said police confirmed the robbery and said an investigation was underway by detectives. Citrus Heights man inspires others despite tragedy
Paralyzed after a body-surfing accident while vacationing in Hawaii, Citrus Heights resident Mike Droter is inspiring others with his strength and determination. According to the latest update from ABC10 on Monday, Droter is now able to use his right hand to move his wheelchair and is beginning to stand and walk. Although he was engaged to be married in March of this year, the news station reported that the wedding never happened, but he continues to work towards the goal of becoming mobile enough to “put a ring on the finger of a wife” and become a parent.
Droter’s public Facebook page includes regular video updates showing his progress through physical therapy, with each video drawing an outpouring of support and inspiration from his friends. He has also set up a fundraising page to help cover the cost of the therapy, which he says his medical insurance does not cover. (See full story)
