Sentinel staff report–
The Citrus Heights Police Department released photos on Wednesday of a 54-year-old man wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred at Citibank back in 2016. Police said the suspect was identified as Steven William Zahourek and a felony warrant was issued for his arrest shortly after the incident took place, but he was never apprehended.
According to police, Zahourek allegedly committed the robbery on June 9, 2016, at the Citibank located at 5610 Sunrise Blvd. Police said he pushed down a victim and then stole money from the victim’s hand, causing injuries to the victim.
In social media postings on Wednesday, the department said officers are seeking assistance from the public to determine Zahourek’s whereabouts. Anyone with information is asked to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (916) 727-5500, or the department’s anonymous tip line at (916) 727-5524.
The department regularly releases images of wanted suspects, and police say the tactic has been successful in generating tips from community members. As of Thursday morning, Police Lt. Dave Gutierrez said several tips had already come in regarding Zahourek.
