Sentinel staff report–
In a night-and-day contrast, a pair of before-and-after photos shows the difference made after the Cordano Company performed a major face-lift on an aging strip mall in Citrus Heights.

The Alta Sunrise Retail Center at 5450 Sunrise Blvd. recently underwent an extensive remodel in an effort to update the aging center and better accommodate restaurant tenants and improve rent values. Construction and demolition work, which began last January, included reducing the building’s size by cutting back the front of the structure to allow room for a new outside dining plaza.

At least three new restaurants are slated to open at the center in 2018, with PizzaRev Taproom being the first to publicize a grand opening date of April 12. Additionally, Dos Coyotes Border Cafe is targeting an opening date in May, and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt recently signed a lease to take up one of two remaining storefronts at the new center.
