The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletin for Jan. 29 through Feb. 6, 2018.
Feb. 6, 2018: Total of 74 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 15 disturbance-related, 8 homeless-related, 26 suspicious activity calls, 7 burglaries, 1 petty theft, no grand thefts, 2 assault reports, and 6 collisions.
12:59 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Sierra Glen Apartments on Auburn Oaks Ct. Police were advised by a caller that an unknown person had “shot an arrow” at their adult daughter while she was walking her dog. The incident was not believed to be intentional and the woman was not hit by the arrow. Disposition listed: cancelled.
8:15 a.m., Burglary Vehicle, Mariposa Apartments on Mariposa Ave. The back passenger window of a Honda CRV was broken out sometime overnight and the suspect(s) made off with a “basket of laundry.” Disposition listed: report taken.
8:36 a.m., Stolen Vehicle, Avalos Wy. Police were called after a Kia Sportage was reported stolen from a driveway on Avalos Way, in the northeastern area of the city. The vehicle had been left running in the driveway when it was stolen. Disposition listed: report taken.
4:56 p.m., Reckless Driving, Sunrise/Old Auburn. A motorcycle was reportedly travelling northbound on Sunrise Boulevard at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. Disposition listed: advised.
Feb. 5, 2018: Total of 63 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 17 disturbance-related, 4 homeless-related, 13 suspicious activity calls, 2 burglaries, 4 petty thefts, no grand thefts, 3 assault reports, and 6 collisions.
12:21 a.m., Burglary, City Hall on Auburn Blvd. At least one arrest was made after three men and a woman allegedly broke into the back door of the old, temporary city hall location on Auburn Boulevard. Disposition listed: arrest.
11:37 a.m., Assault, Rosswood/Antelope. The driver of a vehicle traveling on Rosswood Drive near Antelope Road “appeared to be hitting an unknown subject in the back seat,” causing the vehicle to swerve all over the road.
Disposition listed: unable to locate.
4:30 p.m., Assault, Costco on Auburn Boulevard. A caller told police he was struck in the head by another customer in line while filling a gas can at the Costco fueling station. The assailant allegedly approached him, told him to speed up, and then hit him in the head with his fist after the caller said he “used profanities towards the male.” The suspect was driving an older white motorhome. Disposition listed: report taken.
4:55 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Sunrise Tech Center on Sunrise Blvd. An uncooperative caller who refused to give a name to police said a man had thrown a frisbee at his car and demanded an officer. Disposition listed: cancelled
