Xanax, a medication used to treat anxiety and panic disorders, is commonly abused due to its relaxing and sedative effects.
In Tuesday’s announcement, police credited community partnerships for resulting in Mack’s arrest. The department said its special investigations unit had received a tip regarding a suspect in possession of a firearm, and while police followed up on the tip, Mack was arrested.
