Latest Citrus Heights police logs include the arrest of a homeless man in connection with a stolen bike posted on social media, reckless driving on Fair Oaks Boulevard, a woman throwing a brick through the window of a man’s home at 4:30 a.m., and a driver reportedly seen throwing a cat out of her car window.
The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins for November 19-29, 2017.
November 29, 2017: Total of 45 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 13 disturbance-related, 5 homeless-related, 1 burglary, 3 petty thefts, no grand thefts, no assault reports, and 2 collisions.
6:52 a.m., Homeless camp, Winks Fitness on Auburn Blvd. An unknown number of transients were reportedly located in the parking lot by Winks Fitness on the 8200 block of Auburn Boulevard with three shopping carts full of trash. Disposition listed: “gone on arrival.”
8:58 a.m., Petty theft, Longford Drive. A man reported that his sister and her boyfriend, whom he previously had evicted, kept returning to his apartment to steal his clothes. Disposition listed: “gone on arrival.”
9:43 a.m., Verbal disturbance, Sunrise/Madison. A man driving a white Jeep got out and punched the window of another vehicle and threatened the driver, yelling that he had a gun. He also displayed a magazine from a firearm. Disposition listed: advised.
10:48 a.m., Suspicious circumstances, O’Reilly’s Auto Parts on Antelope Road. A homeless man was seen riding a cruiser bike, which was suspected to be stolen. The report was made by someone who had seen the bike on Facebook and recognized it. Disposition listed: arrest.
9:10 p.m., Verbal disturbance, Walmart Market on Sunrise Boulevard. Two customers in their 20s were “screaming at staff” inside the Walmart Market on Sunrise Boulevard and causing a disturbance. Disposition listed: advised.
November 28, 2017: Total of 58 incidents listed.

4:31 a.m., Vandalism, Greenback Lane. A woman reportedly threw a brick through the window of a man’s house, breaking it. She could be heard yelling at him in the background and shattering his other windows. She was in her 20s, with long brown hair. Disposition listed: report taken.
8:19 a.m., Suspicious circumstances, Greenback/Arcadia. A woman reportedly threw a cat out of the window of her car while driving on Fair Oaks Boulevard, headed towards Greenback Lane. She was driving a silver Subaru Outback. Disposition listed: “unable to locate.”
4:10 p.m., Reckless driving, Fair Oaks/Oak. A driver reportedly ran two stop signs and “drove in the opposite direction” near Fair Oaks Boulevard and Oak Avenue. Another driver who almost got hit took a photo of the vehicle, but the driver then got out of his car and threatened him to a fight, snapping photos of him in return. The reckless driver was driving a red Ford Explorer and was described as being in his 20s. Disposition listed: advised.
November 27, 2017: Total of 80 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 17 disturbance-related, 12 homeless-related, 6 burglaries, 9 petty thefts, 1 grand theft, 8 assault reports, and 2 collisions.
6:18 a.m., Collision- unknown injury, Sunrise/Old Auburn. A car and bike collided at the entrance to the McDonald’s driveway. The cyclist was knocked to the ground, and was still laying there at the time of the report, although there were no visible injuries. Disposition listed: report taken.
1:19 p.m., Robbery, Auburn Boulevard/Van Maren Lane. A woman told police she had been beaten and robbed by an unknown man over the weekend. He allegedly backhanded her, then took her purse and phone. He was described as being in his 20s or 30s and was wearing a black sweatshirt at the time of the incident. Disposition listed: “unable to locate.”
5:06 p.m., Intoxicated person, Walgreens at Antelope/Sunrise. A man appeared to be intoxicated and was seen kicking a trash can and “waving a stick around” at Walgreens. Disposition listed: “gone on arrival.”
