Police seek armed suspect in Citrus Heights liquor store robbery

Sentinel staff report–
On Tuesday, Citrus Heights police released an image of an armed robbery suspect who allegedly entered Tony’s Liquor store on Sunrise Boulevard Sunday afternoon and brandished a weapon and demanded money from an employee.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall Caucasian man with a short beard, around 26-27 years old and 165-170 pounds. A surveillance photo shows him wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt, with “Cabella’s” in white writing on the front. He is also shown with a camouflage-style lanyard around his neck and a multi-colored tattoo on his right arm.

Police said the incident occurred on Nov. 26 around 1:35 p.m. at the liquor store, located at 6968 Sunrise Blvd. next to FoodMaxx. The same suspect is also believed to have committed another robbery in Sacramento County, police said.
