Latest police logs include a trio of vehicles reportedly racing on Greenback Lane, an 18-year-old daughter allegedly punching her mother in the face outside Walmart, grand theft of four phones from a Verizon Wireless store, and a driver reportedly “drinking scotch from a shot glass” while driving on Auburn Boulevard.
The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins for October 27 through November 8th.
November 8, 2017: Total of 67 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 11 disturbance-related, 12 homeless-related, four burglaries, one petty theft, one grand theft, one assault report, and 11 collisions.
3:14 p.m., Reckless driving, Greenback/Auburn. Three vehicles, two of which had temporary Auto Nation license plates, were seen racing each other eastbound on Greenback Lane near Auburn Boulevard. They were reportedly observed swerving, speeding, and slamming on their brakes. Disposition listed: advised.
3:45 p.m., Homeless Camp, Antelope/Auburn. A homeless camp near Antelope Road and Auburn Boulevard had reportedly been posted for over 72 hours but was still occupied by two people. The pair were seen inside some kind of “fort type structure” they had created. Disposition listed: checks ok.
4:28 p.m., Grand theft, Verizon Wireless- Birdcage Center on Sunrise Boulevard. Four phones valued over $1,000 were reportedly taken from Verizon Wireless by two unknown suspects who fled on foot. The store said video surveillance was available, as well as EIN numbers for each phone. Disposition listed: canceled.
8:26 p.m., Assault, Walmart on Auburn Boulevard. A mother reportedly slapped her 18-year-old daughter, who then punched her in the face, splitting her eye open. The mother, who called police, said she did not wish to press charges. Disposition listed: advised.
November 7, 2017: Total of 69 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 17 disturbance-related, 14 homeless-related, no burglaries, 4 petty thefts, one grand theft, no assault reports, and 4 collisions.
8:20 a.m., Disturbance Loitering, Auburn/Creekbed. A homeless man was seen talking to himself with his belongings spread out on the sidewalk. The back of his pants were reportedly completely open, leaving “his buttocks exposed.” According to a witness, the man was known to sleep near the Creekside Apartment Complex. Disposition listed: “gone on arrival.”
11:19 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Summer Rain Way. A lawn maintenance worker alleged that a tenant on Summer Rain Way, off Dewey Drive, had put “live bullets and knives in the lawn.” The maintenance worker said the tenant didn’t like him and he believed the items were placed in the lawn so he “will not see them and run them over with the lawn mower.” Disposition listed: canceled.
1:05 p.m., Petty theft, Marshalls on Greenback Lane. Four Michael Kors purses of an unreported value were stolen from the Marshalls store on Greenback Lane. Two female suspects were seen leaving in a green Honda Accord, headed towards Sunrise Bouelvard. The store had video surveillance of the suspects. Disposition listed: advised.
3:12 p.m., Grand theft, Oakberry Way. About $10,000 of jewelry was reported missing from a residence on Oakberry Way, near Rollingwood Boulevard. Over 40 pieces of jewelry were involved in the theft. Information on a potential suspect was available. Disposition listed: advised.
November 6, 2017: Total of 61 incidents listed.

6:20 a.m., Vehicle burglary, Gerard Way. An unknown suspect reportedly broke into a Toyota 4Runner parked in the driveway of a home on Gerard Way around 4 a.m., making off with the owner’s work laptop, leather laptop bag, watch, and some cash. Forced entry had been made through the front passenger door. Disposition listed: assisted.
11:19 a.m., Driving under the influence, Auburn/Antelope. A driver in a white Honda Fit was reportedly seen “drinking scotch from a shot glass” while driving on Auburn Boulevard. He also was allegedly seen pouring more alcohol into the glass at a red light. The driver was described as being in his 50’s, and the vehicle reportedly had an advertisement for a plumbing company on the side. Disposition listed: “unable to locate.”
3:44 p.m., Petty theft, Macy’s at Sunrise Mall. A woman reportedly took eight pairs of Lens Crafters glasses frames worth a total of $1,000 from the Macy’s store at Sunrise Mall. The incident had occurred the previous day, around 4:30 p.m. Disposition listed: report taken.
