Police released several images this week of a suspect who allegedly robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Citrus Heights and made off with an “undisclosed amount of money.”
Authorities said in a news release that a man in his mid-twenties to mid-thirties entered the bank at 7847 Lichen Drive around 2:12 p.m. on Sept. 16 and demanded money from a teller, stating that he had a gun. Although no weapon was seen, police said the teller “feared for their safety” and complied with the man’s instructions.
The man then took the money and fled the scene, police said.
The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet in height, with a medium build and a short beard or unshaven face. In surveillance photos released by police, the man is wearing a dark blue U.S. Navy hat, dark sunglasses, and a light blue polo shirt.
The Citrus Heights Police Department requests asks anyone with information about the suspect or robbery to call (916) 727-5500.
