Citrus Heights police said a suspect was shot near Rusch Park on Thursday afternoon following a vehicle pursuit.
In a brief statement on social media just after 4 p.m. Thursday, police said the sole suspect involved was taken to an area hospital with at least one gunshot wound. The officer involved is okay.
No other details were immediately released, but police said “there is no ongoing threat to the public.”
