Updated Aug. 30, 4:55 p.m.–
In an updated list released on Aug. 28, Citrus Heights police published photos of eight most-wanted suspects the department is actively seeking to apprehend for outstanding warrants. The list includes seven new suspects, in addition to Timothy King, who also appeared in a prior most-wanted list released earlier this month.
Sgt. Jason Baldwin told The Sentinel on Tuesday that one suspect on the previous Aug. 17 list was arrested, two are still being investigated, and four suspects were determined to “currently reside in another jurisdiction,” so a new list was compiled. He said the department’s most-wanted lists are “working out very well,” with community members already providing information about several suspects.
The latest list includes a photo, age, and short description of the alleged crimes involved for each suspect. The following eight suspects are included on the list:
Timothy Sherman King, 42: wanted for allegedly being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Matthew Lynn Scalzi, 29: wanted for alleged vehicle theft and possession of a short-barreled firearm.
Amy Hadfield, 43: wanted for alleged vehicle theft.
Maria Lourdes Mendoza, 41: wanted for alleged theft and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Jason Scime, 42: wanted in connection with a fictitious check.
Jennifer Anne Noriega, 33: wanted on suspicion of identity theft and violation of probation.
Christopher Jerome Miller, 34: wanted for alleged possession of narcotics.
Justin Lee Caton, 41: wanted in connection with grand theft and embezzlement.
Police urge anyone with information about suspects on the most wanted list to contact CHPD at (916) 727-5500. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact the department’s crime tip line at (916) 727-5524.
