Soups, salads and deli sandwiches are now being served up at Sourdough & Co.’s new location on Sunrise Boulevard in Citrus Heights. The new eatery opened its doors on Monday at 5437 Sunrise Blvd., next to the Habit Burger Grill.
Sourdough & Co. locations are known for fresh-baked sourdough bread, clam chowder bread bowls, and an “old-time style” environment. The company now has eight locations in the Sacramento region, with the first location opening in the El Dorado Hills Town Center nine years ago.
A company spokesperson was not able to be reached for comment on Tuesday, but Spokeswoman Linda Janco previously told The Sentinel the new Citrus Heights location is part of a regional expansion, with four to five other locations slated to open this year in the Sacramento area. The company’s website lists a total of 10 more locations “coming soon,” with three in Sacramento, and additional shops to open in Grass Valley, Tracy, Vacaville, Pleasanton, Rocklin, and Livermore.
According to the company’s website, job applications are currently being accepted for the Citrus Heights location and can be submitted online at sourdoughandcompany.com.
The Citrus Heights Sourdough & Co. is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
