Portions of Sunrise Boulevard and Greenback Lane in Citrus Heights will be reduced to one lane of traffic to allow for pavement repairs on Thursday night and Friday morning, according to a news release from the city.

Paving work will be conducted on both directions of Sunrise Boulevard from Kingswood Drive to Greenback Lane, as well as on Greenback Lane between Sunrise and Fair Oaks Boulevards. Regina Cave, with the city’s general services division, said drivers should expect single-lane traffic controls between 9 p.m. on Thursday, continuing through 5 a.m. on Friday.

City officials said the paving work is needed to repair sections of roadway damaged by storms over the winter and said signalized intersections may be put on flashing red during the paving.

Those with questions about the work are asked to contact the city’s general services department at (916) 727-4770, or via email at generalservices@citrusheights.net.
