July 5, 2017: Total of 45 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 15 disturbance-related, 4 homeless-related, 2 burglaries, 2 petty thefts, 3 assault reports, and 4 collisions.
1:20 p.m., Fraud/Forgery, Costco on Auburn Boulevard. A wallet was left in an Uber vehicle. Although the wallet was later returned, it was reported that the credit card had been fraudulently used. Disposition listed: report taken.
3:09 p.m., Grand theft, Sam’s Jewelers in Sunrise Mall. Two men were reportedly examining a diamond pendant before grabbing it and fleeing on foot. The pair exited through the main entrance and left in an unknown vehicle. Disposition listed: report taken.
3:41 p.m., Vintage Oaks Senior Apartments on Stock Ranch Road. A woman reported that her car had been vandalized for the second time, while parked at the senior apartment complex. Someone had been writing “51” in black marker on the vehicle. Disposition listed: report taken.
July 4, 2017: Total of 39 incidents listed.

12:46 a.m., Disturbance Loitering, McDonald’s on Sunrise Boulevard. A man and woman were on the patio outside of McDonald’s reportedly “approaching customers [and] asking to buy them food.” The man allegedly had a kitchen knife, but hadn’t threatened anyone or brandished it. He was described as a 25-year-old in a black t-shirt and jeans, with a female companion in her thirties. Disposition listed: cancelled.
8:00 a.m., Homeless Camp, Oaks At Stock Ranch on Sylvan Road. Transients were reportedly setting off fireworks at a homeless camp located near a creek and walking trail in the Stock Ranch area. Disposition listed: “unable to locate.”
10:32 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, Sayonara Drive. A husband and wife got into a heated dispute with their neighbors on Sayonara Drive after the neighbor’s dog tried to attack their cat. The neighbor reportedly “threatened to shoot” the cat owner’s husband and said “he would let his dog loose on them.” No weapons were visible. Disposition listed: advised.
10:49 a.m., Burglary, Halifax Street. A homeowner reported their residence had been broken into for the “third day in a row.” At the time of report, multiple doors of the residence were open and it was unknown if the thieves were still inside. Disposition listed: report taken.
12:15 p.m., Verbal Disturbance, Longford Drive. Six non-residents were reported swimming in a pool on Longford Drive, near Greenback Lane. They told residents not to enter, because it was now “their pool.” The prior day, another police log reported a fight occurring at a pool on Longford Drive, also involving six people. Disposition listed: advised.
July 3, 2017: Total of 58 incidents listed.

12:13 a.m., Assault, Yarrow Way. A man reportedly discovered someone rummaging through his recycling bin shortly after midnight. When he approached the man, the person in question punched him. The victim was bleeding, and requested an ambulance. Disposition listed: advised.
1:42 p.m., Robbery, Grocery Outlet on Greenback Lane. Two men and a woman were caught shoplifting at Grocery Outlet. When confronted, one of the men said he had a gun and had his hands in his pockets, although no weapon was actually seen. The trio left in a gold Lexus with a dark right tail light. Disposition listed: assisted.
5:10 p.m., Petty theft, Kohl’s on San Juan Avenue. Three children, about 11 years old, reportedly tried to hide an item taken from another store inside of a backpack stolen from Kohl’s. They were being followed out of the store when police were contacted. Disposition listed: “Assisted.”
