May 25, 2017: Total of 64 incidents listed
Incident report categories of note: 16 disturbance-related, 8 homeless-related, 3 burglaries, 7 collisions, 4 assault reports, 2 stolen vehicles reported, 4 petty thefts.
10:11 a.m., Graffiti Private Property, Marshalls on Greenback Ln. Police were notified that a graffiti suspect had been chased off after being caught spray painting at the Marshalls store in the Citrus Town Center. The suspect was described as a Hispanic or white male, approximately 19-23 years old, with dark hair and black sandals with grey socks. Disposition listed: advised.
4:29 p.m., Collision, Auburn Blvd/Twin Oaks Ave. A caller reported hitting a dog that was following a jaywalking man. The man left with the dog, but the caller reported damage to the vehicle involved. Disposition listed: report taken.
6:45 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Holly Dr. A known individual was reportedly “throwing bricks at the house from the back yard.” The incident occurred on Holly Drive, located off Twin Oaks Avenue. Disposition listed: arrest.
8:14 p.m., Petty Theft, Safeway store on Greenback Ln. A man reportedly broke into a liquor cabinet at Safeway and stole an unspecified amount of liquor. When confronted by employees, he allegedly threatened to assault an employee “with the bottle of alcohol.” A description of the suspect and associated vehicle was provided. May 24, 2017: Total of 59 incidents listed

12:23 p.m., Homeless Camp, Water Ski World on Greenback Ln. Police were advised that about six transients were gathering behind the building and setting up a tent. An “ongoing issue with human waste being left” was also reported. Disposition listed: advised.
3:18 p.m., Burglary, Larry’s Laundry on Madison Ave. A woman had reportedly used a drill to access a vending machine inside the laundromat overnight. No loss was reported, except damage to the vending machine. Disposition listed: report taken.
3:51 p.m., Vandalism, Birdcage Centre Ln. A caller reported their vehicle had been keyed. Police were told the suspect was the wife of the caller’s boyfriend, who had also sent “threatening messages” via text. Disposition listed: advised.
7:00 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Walmart. A woman was reportedly causing a verbal disturbance at the customer service desk, “claiming that Walmart employees stole her vehicle.” She was described as wearing “stuffed pig slippers” and had allegedly been drinking. Disposition listed: “checks ok.”

1:21 a.m., Assault, Sayonara Dr. Multiple people were reportedly fighting in the street on Sayonara Drive, off Sunrise Boulevard. Disposition listed: assisted.
8:54 a.m., Graffiti Private Property, Garden Gate Drive. The west side of Ascension Lutheran Church on Garden Gate Drive was reportedly spray painted. Another incident log from the same morning reported that a truck and driveway on Garden Gate also had been hit with graffiti. Disposition listed: assisted.
3:04 p.m., Shoplifting, Victoria’s Secret. A shoplifting suspect was detained inside the Victoria’s Secret store in Sunrise Mall and was refusing to identify herself. Disposition listed: arrest.
5:17 p.m., Hit and Run Non-Injury, Applebee’s. Police were advised of a hit-and-run collision outside the Applebee’s restaurant on Auburn Boulevard. The collision involved a white older model Ford truck and a dark-colored SUV. Disposition listed: “gone on arrival.”
5:35 p.m., Homeless Camp, Mariposa Ave. A transient was reportedly camping in a backyard on Mariposa Avenue. Disposition listed: arrest.
