RT eyes alcohol ads for funding, launches survey for input

Should hard liquor and other alcohol ads be allowed on RT buses?

Sacramento Regional Transit has launched a four-question survey to answer that question, seeking feedback from the public on whether it should begin accepting alcohol ads on buses, trains, and stations.

The short, one-page survey asks questions regarding hard alcohol ads versus only allowing beer and wine ads, as well as questions about the size and locations of ads. It also has a section for participants to enter comments at the end of the survey.

After RT posted the survey link on its Twitter account last week, a user named “MichaelMooreSac” tweeted back what may have been a sarcastic suggestion to “take ALL vice ad revenue possible: porn, churches, likker, teevee, sports til RT ain’t near death.” The survey link was also retweeted on the City of Citrus Heights twitter feed.
