SURVEY: City seeks input from community to celebrate 20th anniversary

What are the top 20 oldest businesses in Citrus Heights? How about the top 20 facts about Citrus Heights? Who are the 20 oldest residents of Citrus Heights?

In preparation for Citrus Heights reaching its 20th year of cityhood in January 2017, the City is reaching out to community members to help create several lists of “Top 20” distinctives about life in Citrus Heights.

In a survey posted online, participants are asked to list up to 20 City awards and accomplishments, 20 neighborhood projects, 20 community leaders, 20 oldest businesses, 20 best events, 20 longest residents of Citrus Heights, 20 facts about Citrus Heights, 20 city landmarks, and 20 service organizations.

Survey submissions for the various “Top 20” lists will be accepted through Oct. 28 of this year, and can be taken online or via paper forms available at city hall, the community center or the police department.

Once responses are tabulated and the “Top 20” winners are determined for each category, the City says final lists will be announced each month in 2017 — with plans for three additional lists to be compiled during the year to highlight the top 20 “things we love about Citrus Heights,” the top 20 scenic spots, and the top 20 best photos.

Those entering their email, phone number and name at the end of the survey will also be entered into a raffle to win a prize.
