Latest Citrus Heights police logs in April include shoplifting, an employee reportedly stealing $3,000 from a cash register, and a squeegee-throwing vandalism incident at Chevron.
The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins, from April 19 to April 21, 2016:
April 19, 2016: Total of 59 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 26 disturbance-related, 5 homeless-related, 3 burglaries, 7 petty thefts, 2 assault reports, 0 stolen vehicles reported
12:48 p.m., Grand theft, Sunrise Mall. An employee reportedly stole $3,000 in cash from the register at Choice Fashion store inside Sunrise Mall.
6:06 p.m., Petty theft, nail salon. A mother reportedly left her 7 and 15-year-old daughters to have their nails done at Nail Innovations salon on Auburn Boulevard. Upon returning, the mother did not go into the store and wanted her daughters to come out to her. The trio then left without paying.
April 20, 2016: Total of 49 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 13 disturbance-related, 7 homeless-related, 1 burglary, 6 petty thefts, 5 assault reports, 1 stolen vehicle report.
9:15 a.m., Vandalism, Chevron. An angry female customer reportedly drove off after throwing a squeegee at the front door of the Chevron at Auburn Boulevard and Greenback Lane. The incident allegedly caused a crack to appear in the glass.
3:40 p.m., Assault with a weapon, Mariposa Ave. A woman was reportedly screaming in the parking lot of San Juan Park. She had possibly been hit in the face with a pole, but was not answering any questions.
10:04 p.m. Petty theft, Raley’s. Several theft suspects reportedly left the Raley’s store on Lichen Drive with $800 of merchandise. The suspects drove off towards Antelope Road in a blue truck.
April 21, 2016: Total of 53 incidents listed.
Incident categories of note: 16 disturbance-related, 8 homeless-related, 3 vehicle burglaries, 4 petty thefts, 3 assault reports, 2 stolen vehicle reports.
10:10 p.m., Disturbance loitering, Wendy’s on Antelope Road. A homeless man was reportedly “laying on the ground” near the drive-thru speaker at Wendy’s and was yelling at customers.
11:09 p.m., Vehicle burglary, Oak Ave. A caller said an interior light was observed on inside a truck on Oak Avenue just before 11 p.m. The occupant(s) sped off in a white 1996 Chevy Silverado after seeing the caller. The door of the truck was reportedly pried, but nothing was missing. The caller said the suspect vehicle was known to the area and listed three prior incidents that had gone unreported.

1:16 p.m., Petty theft, Citrus Town Center. A caller said her purse was taken by another customer while it was on the floor inside Once Upon A Child. The suspect was described as a woman in her twenties or thirties, with a baby in a stroller. The purse was later returned to the store by the woman who initially took the purse, according to a followup incident log listed at 5:09 p.m.
