Citrus Heights police logs from April 3 to 6 include a $12,000 phone scam, mail box thefts, a homeless man brandishing knives, and several burglaries.
The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins from April 3 to April 6, 2016.
April 3, 2016: Total of 49 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 13 disturbance-related, 4 homeless-related, 3 burglaries, 1 assault reports, 2 petty thefts.
2:24 p.m., Identity theft, Almondwood Ave. An elderly caller and her daughter reported the loss of $12,000 in a phone scam.
5:01 p.m., Shoplifting, Macy’s. Two suspects reportedly ran out the door with arms full of clothing that still had tags on them. A description of the male and female suspects in their mid to late 20’s was given.
5:18 p.m., Grand theft, Blowing Wind Wy. Two mail boxes were reportedly broken into by a neighbor overnight. The caller heard the neighbor outside banging on something and said his wife interrupted the suspects who fled on foot.
April 4, 2016: Total of 55 incidents listed.

11:19 a.m., Brandishing weapon, Burger King. A homeless person was reportedly holding two knives and waving them around while “cussing at patrons” going into the Burger King on Sunrise Blvd.
11:51 a.m., Assault with a weapon, Latour Ln./Amsterdam Av. A caller said his son’s girlfriend was causing a disturbance with his wife and had thrown a bottle at the caller’s vehicle, causing damage. She also reportedly tried to hit him with her vehicle.
April 5, 2016: Total of 54 incidents listed.

6:35 p.m., Burglary, Elizabeth Ln. A caller reported leaving her sliding door unlocked and had found her two purses gone. The approximate loss was listed at $800.
7:10 p.m., Burglary vehicle, Safeway. A security guard called police after observing a suspect breaking into an unlocked vehicle through the passenger side and taking numerous items, before running across the street into the Kohl’s parking lot.
April 6, 2016: Total of 55 incidents listed.

8:19 p.m., Burglary, Auburn Vista Mobile Home Park. A caller’s ex-girlfriend reportedly broke into his residence while he was not home and took a laptop, DVDs and other items. She reportedly “thrashed” his residence. A neighbor saw her break in through a window.
