Citrus Heights Police Logs: March 27-30

Police logs from March 27-30 include an electric wheelchair theft, credit card fraud, and a road rage incident involving a threat with a baseball bat.

March 27, 2016: Total of 45 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 18 disturbance-related, 5 homeless-related, 4 burglaries, 2 assault reports, 2 petty thefts, 1 stolen vehicle report.

7:44 a.m., Vandalism, Longford Dr. A caller reported two males in a silver Honda had gotten out and smashed the window of a Chevy Eclipse. The Honda left going towards Greenback Lane from Longford Drive. Disposition listed: report taken.

2:13 p.m., Fraud/Forgery, Panera Bread. Two customers were reportedly using fraudulent credit cards to buy gift cards in the store. Disposition listed: report taken.

March 28, 2016: Total of 59 incidents listed.

11:01 a.m., Petty theft, Vintage Oaks Senior Apt’s. An electric wheelchair was taken from a sidewalk or front porch at Vintage Oaks Senior Apartments on Stock Ranch Road. The wheelchair was described as red, with grey seats, manufactured by Jazzy. Disposition listed: report taken.

9:31 p.m., Assault with a weapon, Viceroy Wy. A caller pulled up to his residence and was yelled at by man down the street who was talking about his girlfriend. The man threatened to hit the caller with his car and have his dog bite him. The caller hung up while he was on hold. Disposition listed: “checks ok.”

March 29, 2016: Total of 43 incidents listed.
Incident report categories of note: 17 disturbance-related, 4 homeless-related, 1 burglary, 5 petty thefts, 3 assault reports, 0 stolen vehicles reported.

3:23 p.m., Burglary, Old Ranch Rd. After arriving home, a caller reported a TV had been stolen from the home in the last few days. The point of entry was described as “forced through the garage door.” No suspect information was known. Disposition listed: report taken.

4:47 p.m., Verbal disturbance, Candlelight Wy. A caller said her 36-year-old son was “trying to kill her cats” and had slammed a cat on the ground. Disposition listed: advised.

7:00 p.m., Shoplifting, JC Penney. A shoplifter was arrested at the Sunrise Mall JC Penney store. No other details listed.

March 30, 2016: Total of 46 incidents listed.
Incidents categories of note: 13 disturbance-related, 2 homeless-related, 4 petty theft/shoplifting, 2 stolen vehicles, 7 assault reports.

2:27 p.m., Injury hit-and-run, Auburn/Greenback. A caller reported being hit around 2:27 p.m. by a 2004-2005 white GMC pickup truck near Auburn Boulevard and Greenback Lane. The suspect was last seen driving on Greenback towards Interstate 80. The caller refused medical, but reported leg pain. Disposition: Report Taken.

5:37 p.m., Assault with a weapon, Carriage/Auburn. A caller reported a road rage incident involving the driver of a silver Mazda hatchback coming at the caller with a baseball bat in a “threatening manner.” A description of the driver was provided to police. Disposition listed: assisted.
