The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins, from Feb. 20 through Feb. 23, 2016.
Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016: Total of 43 incidents listed.
5:22 p.m., Grand theft, Cross Dr. A caller said he noticed a box next to his bed had been opened and $4400 in cash had been taken out of a bank envelope. He was unsure when it had happened, but believed it to have occurred in the last two months. Disposition: Report taken.
10:18 p.m., Verbal disturbance, Sloop Ct. A caller reported that a neighbor was on their lawn “trying to attack” their mailbox with a stick, as well as yelling and screaming on their driveway. A description of the man was provided, and police were requested to come out due to the issue being described as ongoing. Disposition: unable to locate.
Other incidents of note: 15 disturbance-related (noise, verbal, etc.), one homeless-related, three stolen vehicle-related reports, one assault report.
Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016: Total of 47 incidents listed.
1:11 a.m., Assault, Sylvan Middle School. A passerby on Auburn Boulevard called to report hearing a verbal disturbance at Sylvan Middle School, where a female was seen on the ground with a male kicking her. The caller yelled at the male, who took off on foot and was last seen near Sylvan Corners. Disposition: assisted.
2:58 p.m., Injury hit-and-run, Mariposa Ave. A caller reported that a hit-and-run accident had occurred at Mariposa Avenue and Heredia Drive “about 2 hours ago.” The incident reportedly involved a gray Ford F-150 and a white SUV, with the male driver of the F-150 sustaining a head injury. Disposition: report taken.
Other incidents of note: 13 disturbance-related (noise, verbal, etc.), eight homeless-related, one stolen vehicle report, four DUI-related, three assaults reported.
Monday, Feb. 22, 2016: Total of 66 incidents listed.
12:41 a.m., Disturbance loitering, Carl’s Jr. Police were advised that a man was reportedly sleeping in the dining room of Carl’s Jr. at San Juan and Greenback Lane, after hours. Employees were reportedly waiting outside and no one wanted to wake the man. Disposition: advised.
6:44 p.m., Assault with weapon, Almaden Way. A caller said he was walking his dog around 1:45 p.m. Monday when his dog barked at someone in the bushes at Madison Avenue and Almaden Way. A person reportedly jumped out of the bushes, tried to kick the caller’s dog, and then pulled out a knife and said he was going to “cut him up and kill him.” Disposition: Unable to locate.

1:56 p.m., Stolen vehicle, Sycamore Dr. A caller said his gray 2006 Nissan Frontier had been taken from the church parking lot of Trinity Ministry Baptist Church on Sycamore Drive. The caller said the vehicle had been stolen in the last 10-15 minutes. Disposition: report taken.
Other incidents of note: 13 disturbance-related (noise, verbal, etc.), 12 homeless-related, three stolen vehicle-related calls, four assaults reported.
Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016: Total of 50 incidents listed.
8:24 a.m., Stolen vehicle, Longford Dr. A report was made regarding an overnight theft of a vehicle from inside a garage on Longford Drive. Keys were not with the vehicle. Make and model were not included in incident log. Disposition: report taken.
9:37 a.m., Homeless camp, Auburn Blvd. A homeless camp was reported under the pedestrian bridge behind Costco, with “lots of garbage on the ground from the leftover camp” needing to be cleaned up. Disposition: advised.
Other incidents of note: 18 disturbance-related (noise, verbal, etc.), seven homeless-related, three reckless driving reports, one assault report.
