The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins, from Feb. 7 through Feb. 9.
Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016: total of 65 incidents listed.
12:18 a.m., Jack In The Box, DUI — A driver allegedly fell asleep at a stop light before parking at Jack In The Box at Antelope Road and Sunrise Boulevard. The incident was listed by police as “driving under the influence.” Disposition: assisted.
9:49 a.m., Walmart market, road rage — A caller was reportedly walking to his vehicle when a man in a silver vehicle allegedly pulled into the Walmart Neighborhood Market parking lot on Sunrise Boulevard, began yelling, took his jacket off and challenged the caller to a fight. After going inside the store to call police, the caller reported that the silver vehicle had left the scene. Disposition: advised; listed as road rage, reckless driving.
2:51 p.m., Walmart, pedestrian-vs-vehicle — Police responded to a reported injury collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle at the Auburn Boulevard Walmart. Disposition: report taken.
Other incidents of note: 17 disturbance-related reports (noise, loitering, verbal), three homeless-related, three assaults.
Monday, Feb. 8, 2016: total of 55 incidents listed.
3:15 a.m., Peoria Drive, hit-and-run – A caller told police that his girlfriend had showed up and rammed his vehicle with her car, while he was parked down the street on Peoria Drive, near Greenback Lane. She reportedly left in a tan Honda Accord. Disposition: report taken; listed as hit-and-run, non-injury.
8:34 p.m., Van Maren Lane, collision — A vehicle-versus-power pole collision involving a white pickup truck with a trailer was reported in front of “Jesus Name Lighthouse” church on Van Maren Lane. The incident was listed as involving unknown injuries. Disposition: report taken.
7:15 p.m., Greenback Lane, pedestrian-vs-vehicle – A driver called police to report they had hit a pedestrian in the roadway at Burger King on the 8000 block of Greenback Lane. Police later confirmed the pedestrian’s injuries were not life-threatening. Disposition: assisted.
Other incidents of note: 19 disturbance-related, eight homeless-related (camping, loitering), three assaults, and two stolen vehicle reports.
Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016: total of 51 incidents listed.
4:17 a.m., Auburn/Greenback, disturbance — Police were called regarding a man who allegedly refused to leave the AM/PM gas station after trying to refill his coffee for free. Disposition: report taken; listed as verbal disturbance.
8:58 a.m., Speedy Smog, vandalism – Citrus Heights police were called regarding an employee who had been fired the prior day and allegedly damaged a company computer on his way out. The incident occurred at Speedy Smog on Auburn Boulevard. Disposition: advised.
Other incidents of note: 14 disturbance-related reports, eight homeless-related (pan-handling/camping), nine vehicle-related (reckless, hit/run), one stolen vehicle reported, and three reports of assaults.
