2015 events at Rusch Park:
Summer Food Truck Mania – New for 2015, food trucks will be out at Rusch Park on the second Wednesday of each month, beginning April 8 and continuing through September 9. Trucks will be out from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (See more)
APRIL
Capitol Pops Spring Concert 2015 – April 18, in the Rusch Park Auditorium from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Come enjoy the tunes of the local, 72-member, all-volunteer Capitol Pops Concert Band for their annual Spring performance.
Pet-a-Palooza 2015 – Dogs of all kinds and sizes will once again fill Rusch Park this April 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (See full story: “Pet-a-Palooza 2015 coming to Rusch Park April 25“)
MAY:
Skate Park Scooter Competition 2015 – May 9, at the Rusch Park Skate Park. For young scooter enthusiasts of all ages, this annual event gives the opportunity to impress judges and win an award. Amateur Registration begins at 9 a.m., and Experienced Registration begins at noon. (See flier for more details)
JULY:
Community Camp Out 2015 – July 11 and 12, at Rusch Park. (See prior story from 2014: Community Camp Out to fill Rusch Park with ‘tent city’)
AUGUST:
Hot August Bites 2015 — August 15, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. After premiering the event for the first time last year, Hot August Bites will again take over Rusch Park for a second annual night of entertainment, live music, food, raffles and swimming. (Click here for event flier).
SEPTEMBER:
Sunday Funday 2015 — September 27, at Rusch Park, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Coordinated by the City of Citrus Heights and the Sunrise Recreation and Parks District, organizers promise a free, fun-filled event with live music and entertainment; children’s games, climbing walls and more. Booth registration for vendors is available on the City’s website.
OCTOBER:

DECEMBER:
